mission

LOVE NAIL TREE IS A COMPANY DEDICATED TO PROVOKING CONVERSATION ABOUT TOPICS NEGLECTED AND OFTEN IGNORED BY OUR WORLD. WE BELIEVE THAT STORYTELLING IS THE NECESSARY DRIVE FOR THE KIND OF DIALOGUE NEEDED AMONG PEOPLE FOR CHANGE; WE EXIST TO REVEAL THE POWER THAT STORIES POSSESS TO DRAMATICALLY ALTER THE COLD, HARD HEART. WE EXPLOIT APPAREL, JEWELRY, FILM, AND PRINT TO EMBODY THE STORIES WE CREATE AND TELL, AND IT IS OUR ADDED PASSION TO HAVE A SIGNIFICANT VOICE AGAINST THE DECEPTION, OVER-CONSUMPTION, AND FICKLENESS FOUND IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY. IT IS OUR DESIRE TO SEE THE STORIES WE TELL MOVE PEOPLE TO ACTION AND INSPIRE A DEEP CHANGE WITHIN THEM.

STAND TALL

The city is a circus filled with solitary acts. Industry is a crafty man’s means to a get-rich scheme. From the day it was conceived, from you to me, the American Dream is still a different dream. And what do we have to show for it? What great words have we to ride home with us to our quiet towns, our homelands, the slums from which we have come?

You are in this alone. Everything, always, alone. You are weak if you ask for help. You are frail, pathetic, hopeless if you can’t be independent. You are a mess. As you walk through the valley you had better figure out how to get home, and you had better do it alone. You do it alone.

A declaration of independence was meant to set people free. It was to say that all people are equal; it was a chance to claim cohesion, celebrating the fact that together we can be proud of where we come from. Instead, we have turned it on its head, calling it the freedom to break off from all we’ve ever known. We’ve named it autonomy: independence is the freedom from anyone else’s influence.

But we need each other. Inside, every last one of us are like thinly blown glass just waiting to be smashed. We will break, and so we need each other. That was always the way it was meant to work. The tallest way to stand is upon each other’s shoulders, and the most beautiful way to do it is to get to take turns. You might hold the weight of ten friends, but one day it will be your turn. You can count on that.

We will stand tall. Let us hoist each other up as far into the air as we possibly can, because that is what we were made to do: we were made to make famous the origin of our creation, and we were made to do it together.

WE WILL CHANGE THE WORLD WITH THE STORIES WE TELL
